Just got some bargain tickets for Plymouth Beer Festival in July: http://www.plymouthpavilions.com/events/details.asp?act=252

What that link doesn't really explain is that for £6:25 you can get entry to BOTH days of the Festival, starting at 12pm each day, which includes bands both nights - one of them being THE WURZELS!

Bargain!

Anyone else up for it?

Had a great time this weekend, the ales were fantastic, loads of new ones to try, and it was a great atmosphere especially Saturday evening with a load of drunk people singing along to Live 8 on a huge screen before the Wurzels took the stage. BUT, the cider selection was pretty uninspiring, they had about 25 in total but most of them were the usual suspects. The only ones i hadn't tried were Knights and Countryman - both OK but nothing special, although this may not had been representative of how they normally taste because most of the ciders tasted nothing like they do from the farms, made me wonder about just how long they'd been there and how they'd been kept. The organisation was pretty shoddy too, and there were LOADS of security men just standing round and doing nothing - why???
