All the compliments of the season to the HMZ crew.

I know you're all keen fans of the Welsh, so I thought I'd put up a greeting.

Do you have any tributes planned for today? Are you all wearing leeks in your buttonholes? The world should be told.

To show there is no racial prejudice against the welsh from me, I ordered a "St Davids Ale" made by Brains, when i was in Cardiff the other day - but just when the lady was about to pour it, the glass smashed to pieces in her hand! (Im not making this up, its true!). She said that this had never happened before. I took it as a warning sign from the Somerset Cider Gods not to touch the Welsh poison, so got something else instead.

Sorry about that Gents, I seem to have got a bit of phlegm stuck in my throat - should have said:
Sod the Welsh, who's for a cider?

And you will know us by the trail of empties....

The song's excellent, and I can't believe the lard story is true (but I suppose it must be)

I ressurected last year's tribute on to the homepage, as unfortunately we haven't yet been able to carry out our original st david's day plan of putting Wales up for sale on ebay. Hopefully this will be done soon, so all rogue nations will soon be bidding!

You show, admirable restraint, Gents. I expected a string of expletives, but you've risen above my childish trolling attempt.

I shall retire, ashamed

Good morning Ivanhoe, Happy St Davids Day to you too, and to all our Welsh readers.

The only tribute we have planned is the one someone has stuck on the homepage (its exactly the same as our tribute from last year!). Apart from that I completely forgot it was even the start of March today, so i am not currently wearing a leek (and worse still forgot that it was casual clothes at work today) but i shall stick one in a hole later.

I know that Lord Lucan has made a pilgrimage to Portishead this morning to pay his respects, not sure what the others HMZ-ers are up to.

Have a good day.
