We've got all the ingredients for that at home Gents, and it's freezing outside, so I might try your recommendation (but not Lord Lucan's) over the weekend.

Sounds great, i shall definitely be adding a light net on my black roll and wetting brandy roasted andouillettes of pig soon.

Lord Lucan invented a cider recipe on New Years Day called a "Savage". It consisted of quarter of a pint of vodka and three-quaters a pint of Merrydown and was possibily the most disgusting thing ever invented.

My favourite is Somerset Cider Brandy (or normal brandy if you cant get any) in a bowl with with some good easy-to-drink srcumpy like Burrow Hill or Westons, heated-up, with chopped apple, cinnemon, and a small bit of red wine. We used to stick that in a flask and take it too watch the firworks on Plymouth Hoe, keeps you warm in any weather, lovely.
