Apparantly the Seven Stars in Bristol, (next door to the Fleece & Firkin) hold a cider festival on the last Sunday lunchtime/afternoon of each month.

I was in there last night supping a pint or three of Cheddar Valley, from what is probably the best range of draught ciders in a pub in the west I've seen (bar Newton Abbot) and the landlord told me he has 300 gallons (or was it barrels?) of cider for the festival this Sunday 25th February.

yer tis.. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&search_result=&db=pc&cidr_client=none&lang=&keepicon=true&pc=BS16JG&advanced=&client=public&addr2=&quicksearch=BS1 6JG&addr3=&addr1=

It's meant to be a very popular event, music by the Whisky Chasers also.

Wassail!

Just a quick update yer.. the Seven Stars has changed hands, has been refurbished and seems to only sell Cackthorn as draught cider!! ouch

This was a great pub only a month ago now its exactly the same as the majority of pubs in Bristol.

Too right.. you'll be very pleasantly surprised.. Thatchers T & CV, Bristol Cider Works, and at least another two real ciders on draught that I spotted, that I haven't got around too yet... (oh and cackthorn for the uniniated ) and bottles of everything..

The BCW Rough is worth checking out (which isn't what they sell at the Seven Stars, but that one's fairly nice too.).. I was drinking the dry from the barrel at a gig on Saturday, it took the enamel off yer teeth because it was so dry, but it went down well.. which is why I missed the ciderfest the next day.

Dammit! Someone just told me about this today (obviously a day late), and now ive seen this post! It sounded fantastic, ive got to check out the next one, which should be the same weekend as the Bristol Beer Fest if its the last sunday of every month so that should be a messy weekend.
