I've heard the Wellington has some decent cider.. I'll have to add it to my important places to visit list

The Cornubia had some Wilkins listed last time I was in there.. but sadly had sold out... but I should be up for the 11th June for a guzzle.

The Cornubia is a nice pub, tucked away behind Victoria Street (by Bristol Bridge) http://www.britishpubguide.com/cgi-bin/pub.cgi?results:Bristol:2109

Nice to meet ya too Gents.. c'mon down to the Junction if ya can for the "Save the Junction" benefit gig, Turnips should be on about 8.45pm, it should be a hoot and all the bands are great.. and Thatchers Traditional on draught thanks to my moaning about the Cackthorn!!

Here's a poster.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v330/frenzbob/neckposterfinal.jpg

The Junction is here, Map.. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.4624&lon=-2.5904&scale=5000&icon=x

Was good to meet you on Sunday Steve, and it was a good little festival.

It was organised by the bloke who used to run the Seven Stars, he was telling me that he had had enough of working at the pub so decided to start a new venture of approaching pubs and offering to come and organise mini-cider festivals for them... so he is basically going "on tour" round various pubs in the area this summer, selling a selection of local ciders and hog-roast, then moving on - what a great idea! His next date is at the Cornubia in Bristol on June 11th.

It usually opens lunchtimes on normal Sundays, and then again from 6pm - 11pm, but Id be pretty confident in saying that it'll be open all day on Bank Holiday sunday next week, especially if they have an event on til 4. I'll try and check this weekend.

The Old Barn is the place that is actually an old barn, and it pretty much opens normal pub hours... dont suppose you were looking at the Wraxall Manor House Hotel thing which is right next to it??

I passed through Wraxall earlier and took a peek at ye Old Barn, and it doesn't look like a proper pub, so I'll probably guess it will only be open between 1-4pm so I'll probably have to miss this one.

I'm fairly certain this was the guy who did the Seven Stars Sunday Cyder festival, so if this one's succesful you may see it returning on a regular basis at the new venue.

'ave a pint or three for I then Gents

Im shouting about it now: YEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAA! Im just amazed we haven't heard about it sooner. Only problem is that it's the same day as the Nailsea United Showboat but im sure i'll have time to call in and sample at least some of the dozen.

Cheers for letting us know, would have been gutted if this had slipped under my nose!
