Posted - 23/06/2006 : 10:31:01 Me and Mrs I helped out with the 3 Counties Cider and Perry stand at the 3 Counties Show in Malvern last weekend.
Had a great time in the sun, drank a lot of cider, and tried some new things.
Tried a great cider called Dewchurch Cider (from village of same name in Hfds), bought some Hereford Apple Aperitif (cider brandy mixed with apple juice - around 18%. Excellent over ice, before a nice meal, imho), and helped out at a tutored tasting where the shock product (tasted blind) was Stowford Press Low alcohol cider (around 1%). I know that it sounds so wrong, but if you have to drive and still want a bit of something to drink then imho this is so much better than LA beer or anything similar. It definitely tastes like cider.
Just thought I'd let you all know. Hope everyone here is enjoying a cidery summer. |

Gents, you truly are a mystic of the highest calibre. Why didn't I think of that cunning strategy?

I guess it must be quite easy to make a low alcohol cider... just only let your apple juice ferment for a bit i suppose??
