I just noticed (from looking at our hit-counter stats) that if you search "worlds best cider" on Google this website comes up as the 2nd result! The top result is about barbeque sauce strangely.

hee hee.. I've got the photos of the cider tasting at Bath West Show at Shepton Mallet, and one cider did exceptionally well across the ranges, taking a good prize in most categories.. so I guess for this year that would be the "worlds best cider"..

Let me have a peak at the photos... and..

for the sweet farmhouse cider... in 3rd place was Hecks cider, in 2nd was AGS Hill cider, and the winner was Burrows Hill cider.

for the dry farmhouse cider... in 3rd place was Burrows Hill cider, in 2nd was AGS Hill cider, and the winner was AGS Hill cider.

So I guess AGS Hills took it on points... I've never tried it, though I've given Hecks and Burrows Hill a go and they are both very nice.

(PS wot kind of a saddo must I be taking photos of cider )

I asked the guy behind the bar for a taste and he said it wasn't available, but he did try it himself and he said he couldn't tell the difference between the three.. you needed to be a judge to taste it!!
