Posted - 18/06/2004 : 14:42:40 We have had a £175k bid accepted for McPhee but he might still go to that portugese club.
Marcus Stewart's agent has rang Steve Lansdown saying he wants to sign for us, but lansdown says its unlikely cos of wages...

Posted - 05/06/2004 : 10:33:42 I can't see us getting anyone unless we sell Tommy and then we would have to try and buy a replacement - we could never attract anyone as good as him tho - it would be a real blow if Tommy left.
Saying that, I think we can go up if we just keep together the players weve got, heres our Championship winning side!
Phillips Carey/Coles/Butler/Hill Murray/Wilkshire/Doherty/Brown Roberts/Miller
Subs: Gillespie/Lita/Tinnion/Woodman/Goodfellow
Back-Up: Fortune, Amankwaah, Simpson, Hawkins, Anyinsah, Loxton, Harley, Stowell.
Probably still here too: Peacock, Bell, Burnell
Stewart would be great but I cant see us getting him

Posted - 04/06/2004 : 11:26:24 My guess is we will sign no-one, unless Tommy goes and we have to replace him. We spent so much last year, it was a bit of a gamble that would have paid off if we went up, but the recent comments of Sexstone and Lansdown suggest there isn't much left in the pot. We have to hope that the attacking players we have now live up to their potential, if they do then we shouldn't need anyone else. Obviously a 25-goal striker would be nice, but they don't come cheap. And Plymough got by ok without one.
