I know its a bit early but where is everyone planning on watching Thursday's game?

p.s. How was the Torquay Footy Tour? I heard that the Dog was sent back to the hotel early on Sunday night and throw up in the taxi!

Our Rooney one was DEFINITELY the best.

Sad to say we only came 2nd in the best chants last night, I think "Always sh1t on the swiss side of the alps" was the winner.
We get 2nd with "Rooney is a sh1thead, he wears a red&white hat, he owns a shop in nailsea and he is a very nice chap. He really hates the germans, he wishes they were dead, and if he sees a frenchman, he'll kick him in the head".
Dissapointed no-one else joined in my Swiss Family Robinson shout.

Time to start thinking of gems for Croatia, although they are generally inspired by Thatchers!

It was standing room only for us who got there fairly late, but we still had a clear view of the screen. I would imagine it will be less busy tonight with it being midweek and an early kickoff.
On the evidence of Sunday the Oak was not at all busy, nor the RM bar, so if it comes to it we could all move to one of them and take our banter with us!

It will be interesting if those going from Bristol can't get in the Glass because its busy.

Is this likely Holman? How busy was it for the France game?

Well im swaying towards the Nailsea idea tonight to, for the following reasons basically:

1. Thatchers
2. The rate people are dropping out of the Bristol idea like flies there won't be anyone left
3. Marginally less risk of falling asleep on the journey home and ending up in Weston.

I'll be up for town monday, not taking any time off work tho purely cos i get paid by the hour and im skint! What a shame it aint tuesday night, would have been brilliant Glastonbury warm-up!

I'll be up for town on monday, given that I am now unemployed I've got nothing better to do!

Make her day, put something in cider
Rob Posted - 17/06/2004 : 11:19:22
Well i was told by Smithy that we would sort it out last night.

I can get back to Nailsea, but i would have to run my bollox off to get there just before the game. I just need to find out what a couple of others are doing before i decide.
Jungle Jim Posted - 17/06/2004 : 11:07:32
Apologies for the late change of mind, basically the practicalities of watching in Nailsea make it easier for me, and I thought the Glass was surprisingly ok on Sunday, should be quite a few of us there tonight to get some more good Thatchers-induced banter going.

Definitely up for town Monday night though (assuming the game remains relevant), should be a lot easier for everyone to get together somewhere good with the later kick off, anyone else fancy taking the day/afternoon off for a proper session in Walkabout?

Rob I didn't realise we were out last night to sort this - I just went up for a quiet pint and to watch the footie!!

I thought everyone was goin out in town cos most couldn't make it back to Nailsea in time, looks like this has changed tho...

Nailsea or Bristol, i dont mind and can do either, but would be good if we could get something sorted so we all know what we're doing and can plan when to leave work and how to get to whatever venue in time!

I wish you lot could make up your minds, thats why we were out last night.

So far it was me and Ships in Bristol, and i thought Big E, Vickers and Stu were in Bristol too, but i suppose that might change.

We should have a definitive list of whos doing what. I'm still up for Bristol, but if everyone is in Nailsea, then i've got some fookin running to do when i get out of work!
shippers Posted - 17/06/2004 : 10:40:16
I thought that after i sent it Smithy and funny enough it originally came from a Welsh boy (not me)!

Is that glasshouse in Nailsea?
Jungle Jim Posted - 17/06/2004 : 10:02:19
Think the fear of watching England sober combined with the urge for Thatchers are now dragging me in the direction of the Glasshouse.
