Posted - 13/08/2004 : 00:54:10 I think in his short managerial career to date Tinman looks set to rival Ian Holloway for bizarre quotes.
This is from his views on formations, on the City website: "The 4-3-3 is not set in stone, but even so if it's 4-5-1, 6-1-7 or whatever, it isn't that important anyway..."
6-1-7??? If the refs don't think its that important I reckon go with it, will certainly sell more season tickets.
Cider's coming home...

Posted - 13/08/2004 : 16:38:44 The headline to that story actually said "Tinnion says he will move away from his favoured 4-4-3 formation" when it was first put on yesterday!
If we did play 6-1-7, who would be in your team? Here's mine:
Goal: Jacki Dziekanowski. No-one will get past the 6-man defensive barrier so Tinman may as well try to win over the supporters by putting an old fan's favourite in goal.
Defence: Coles, Woodman, Fortune, Shaun Taylor, The Wurzels (x2). The 3 youngsters can do all the running for Shaun who can just head everything that falls within 10cm of him and kick people. Everyone loves the Wurzels down Ashton Gate, they can entertain the crowds, and are fat so can get in the way of opposition through-balls.
Midfield: Darren Caskey, same reason as the final point for The Wurzels above. Extra revenue would be generated from pie sells (23 x £50), and season ticket sells (1 x £335)
Strikers: Lita, Heffernan, Miller, Roberts, Murray, Susan Osman All the strikers we have apart from Gillespie who is never gonna get a game, lets face it. Plus Susan Osman, as surveys show she is popular in Bristol.
