Anyone who has been lucky enough to try one of these amazing pies at Ashton Gate (or one of the other 39 grounds that sell them) lately will surely agree that they are the tastiest food products ever to be sold at a Football ground. Succulent chucnks of chicken in a sauce that actually tastes like curry - it's just like a curry in a pie. Sadly there are some weekends when i don't get to a game (like this one) and im beginning to have serious pie withdrawl symptons - does anyone know where i can purchase these pies putside of City games??

They are made by Shire Foods who i will be contacting soon to ask for a list of further pie outlets, but in the meantime please could everyone be on the lookout for these pies in your local supermarkets.

Thank you.

More pie news, Ive had my first balti pie that wasn't purchased in a football ground. It was bought from Morrisions up Cribbs Causeway - 2 PIES FOR £1.25!!! Bargain! And just as tasty as ones from Ashton Gate.

Also, even Plymouth have given in and started stocking Shire Food's Famous Football Balti Pies, despite being sponsored by Gingsters! Everyone wants a slice of pie.

After devouring another delicious pie before City's glorious 5-0 win on Saturday we have now decided that Balti Pies are extremely lucky and need to be eaten before every match. It's Lord Lucan who is unlucky and should be banned!

Who is getting tickets for Everton? I recommend not getting a ticket directly behind me. Parp.

gents you seem to forget that the pies are bad luck, and currently you are banned from eating them at ashton gate.

...and of course "Cider In A Pie".

Kebab Kitchen already claim to sell a "Kebab In A Bun" which is persumeably two bits of pitta bread and some meat between 2 buns - a bit too much bread for my liking.

If they've mastered a curry in a pie I reckon we should challenge these culinary pioneers to see what else they could get in there.
My suggestions would be:
Kebab
Burger
KFC
Crepe

Cider's coming home...

My original email:

Subject: Chicken Balti Pies - Please Help!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I recently had the pleasure of trying one of you Chicken Balti Pies at
Ashton Gate (home of Bristol City FC), and I've got to say it was the
nicest thing I have ever tasted at a football ground, it certainly
cheered me up during our terrible start to the season. I became so
excited by my first pie a few weeks ago that I made the stupidly obvious
statement "it's great, it's just like a curry in a pie" - something that
I now have had the mickey taken out of me for saying ever since.

Unfortunately our matches do not come often enough for my liking, and I
would like to eat your Chicken Balti Pies more often. Please could you
tell me if I can obtain these pies anywhere else in the Bristol area? I
would preferably like to buy some frozen ones so I can cook them at home
while I am listening to away matches on the radio! Alternatively, could
you let me know any other League One clubs that sell your pies, so I can
plan which Away games to attend this season accordingly?

Many thanks for your help, keep up the good work!
