Posted - 16/06/2005 : 14:20:27 A few of us have been chatting/emailing about stopping at West Croft Farm - home of Janets Jungle Juice - to stock up on our cider for this year. Thought i'd start a thread here so everyone can see who's interested -
Ive just got off the phone to the farm to make sure they would actually be open at 9am on a wednesday. At first it didn't look good, "oh no, we don't open til ten" said the lady "what day will it be?"... when i told her wednesday she said "oh dear, we aren't open at all on wednesdays"... but just when all was looking lost she kindly offered to make sure someone would be there specially for us at 9am, what with us being local cider-farmers and website providers ourselves and all that.
But, we need to let them know what we want before Wednesday so they can prepare it. If you are coming down in the convey with us wednesday morning and want some JJJ please let me know and i'll pass on the order.
The best bit was the end of the conversation when i asked her name - "Janet"!!! - yes, I have just spoken to one of my cider-heroes, Janet who the cider was named after, a lady who can apparently "collect a tonne of apples in an hour with her bare hands".

Posted - 16/06/2005 : 14:38:22 Yeah I'm in for a gallon. Just to add, this year's Glasto convoy will be departing the M5 at Junction 22, and then heading to get the JJJ, then heading east towards Wedmore, before taking a southernly turn into Glastonbury. A new route, and guaranteed to be better than Boxhall's.
