Posted - 20/12/2005 : 18:04:05 "Rock Climate Change" - it's an interesting concept. If you take the fact that unless George Bush happens to be taking a cheeky weekend city break in Cardiff its likely to have absolutely no effect on US policy, and therefore do nothing to actually prevent climate change. Then consider the energy required for the lights, sound, catering etc of a huge stadium gig, plus the fuel to transport thousands of people and the bands to Cardiff, and you've got a pretty impressive "Carbon footprint". I reckon it adds up to perhaps the most counter-productive charity gig ever! |
