Ive never even heard of Portishead carnival but it could be worth a trip across the bridge for a look. Says on his website he's playing in "Davizes" on the same night so i dunno whats going on there!

Way hay 
Last year they had the "The Wurzels" and "One Step Below", so its not unconcievable he'll play there.
He's playing at Wasted too. (someone oughta tell him they've moved the venue to Blackpool )
The early Specials were tops, by the sounds of it Neville should be cool too.
The cider at Portishead from last year was nothing to write home about.. Scrumpy Jack or similar from memory. There's some photos of that gig in the old dump too.. featuring my dog "Scrumpy - the Wurzel dog" getting legless and dancing to the Wurzels  http://spaces.msn.com/alchemisthq/
