"It doesn't make sense to hand a place to a club based on a knockout competition, almost a one-off, when other clubs have shown quality over a full league season to get in the top four."

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry. That's Liverpool, who qualified for the 2006 Champions League despite finishing outside the top four, after their success in a 'one-off cup'.

One night in a local Liverpool pub, a huge scouser was sitting at the bar slowly getting pissed. He was 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighed at least 400 pounds.
A little later a short, skinny, obviously gay man walks in and sits next to the huge guy. After having a few drinks the gay man sidled over to the huge scouser and whispered in his ear, "Do you want a blow job?"
At this, the giant Merseysider jumped off his chair, punched the guy in the face breaking his nose, grabbed him by the feet and threw him out into the car park where he finished him off with bone crunching kicks to the head. He then left the faggot laying on the floor and went back into the bar.
Amazed, the bartender brought the huge scouser a beer and said, "I have never seen you like that before. You are normally such a gentle man. Just what did he say to you anyway?"
"I'm not sure," replied the scouser, "It was something about a job!"

If your source is the Mirror, you'd do better not to mention where you got that from!

Liverpool fans have been voted the most attractive in football with Portsmouth's blue army taking the dubious honour of worst looking. (The Mirror)

In a recent survey, people from Liverpool have proved to be the most likely to have had sex in the shower!

In the survey, carried out for leading toiletries firm 'Lynx', a whopping 86% of Liverpudlians said that they have enjoyed sex in the shower.

The other 14% said they had never been to prison.

Sorry ships you dont have a leg to stand on mate!! Chelsea JUST edged it, but at the end of the day you got to put the ball in from 12 yards and united did it better than chelsea.

As for me, ive had a great year, Arsenal blowing the league, Spurs winning the coca cola cup, United winning the champions league and league, Celtic winning the SPL all i need now is for City to win on saturday... that be great :)

Bit sour ships? How did i know you'd be first to reply! And Chelsea were robbed? In my view no team deserves to win a game with just a single shot on target and do people not remember the first half where we played Chelsea off the park?! Fair enough i did watch it from my armchair as i don't have 3 grand to my name let alone 3 grand spare to fly to moscow! I would just like to know ships, out of the 5 times Liverpool have won the European cup, how many of those games did you actually attend?
As for trophies, always looking in the past, lets look at the present. Trophies won by team THIS season:

Man Utd - 2
Tottenham Hotspur - 1
Portsmouth - 1
Liverpool - 0
Chelsea - 0
Arsenal - 0

Double Winners 07/08

Sorry about the late posting, just got back from my armchair, from which I was very comfy watching the mighty reds become champions of europe again.

Highlights for me were Ronaldo's goal, the performance of Nemanja Vidic and how we managed to win it without killing anyone.

My 2 favourite United's have now done the double. Just need City to win Saturday to make this a really great season.......I forget what liverpoo won this season....can anyone help?

I don't see how Man U or Ferguson can take any credit for that win, they won cos Terry slipped over, simple as that.

That was a late posting Samo? Just got back from Moscow… no I didn’t think so! Still I bet it was comfy in your armchair?

I thought Chelsea were robbed last night. They were clearly the better side on the night but as in Barcelona 99 United spawned another win.

Never mined, it’s taken 22 years and a lot of cash for Ferguson to win 2 European Cups and so he is still a long way off Liverpool’s dominance in Europe…
