Why, has that bird who sang last time actually joined? I thought that was a one-off type thing? She isn't on the official website!
And as Gav hasn't denied the name-change rumours I take it there is some truth in it?!?
The Hydras have got a mention on the Adequate 7 forum today, strangely. I told them that the singer wanked a lot and talked about the M5.

Hello,
Thanks for coming last night Gents and Jungle.
The chick is just a guest at the moment. She will be on our EP/mini album though. |

Very good performance last night, a definite progression from the last time we saw you lot and we were very impressed. The sound was great too, very crisp and loud, and it certainly bowled over a few of the gathered gimps when the first song crunched into action.
And for those of you interested in visiting the Falling On A Leap Year website, heres the link: http://www.fallingonaleapyear.moonfruit.com/

A good performance by The Treehouses, generally agreed to be their best yet. And the untitled new song was probably the highlight, although also impressed by the addition of a fire song - hope this will be on the CD to put it in contention for Fire Album 3. The promised on-stage sex failed to materialise, although Gav did whisper something in Vicky's ear mid-song which definitely made her blush... Another high spot was the opening chords of the intro, which nearly knocked the gimps supporting the first act to the floor - "Falling on a leap year", aka Badly Castrated Boy. Maybe a little louder would have actually floored them, and hopefully caused irreparable damage to their digital cameras, which they spent the entire evening playing with, presumably to enter the world's ugliest groupie photo competition. Can't remember the name of the 2nd band, they were ok, but not very interesting, the songs never really got going, and they just seemed to randomly stop. Any plans for a treehouse home-coming gig in Nailsea?

Second band were called The Mazes.
FOALY forum doesn't seem to work today, perhaps they anticipated your visit?

Great reviews. Can I put them on our website?
Given what you heard last night, which songs would you record. We are going to do 4 or 5. The new one is pretty much a definate as people raved over it after the gig.
Also, we are going to change our name this week. Any suggestions? Might start a new thread for this actually. |

Following Monday nights performance we have been invited back to headline at the Louisiana. The sound engineer was so impressed he recommended the Promoter get us back asap. Should be about the end of Feb.
Last January we were rehearsing without any gigs in the pipeline. Now we are being chased to headline the Louie. Signed by the summer methinks!

We were impressed by the sound engineer too. Not sure if he was the same bloke as last time but he got it spot on both times, the sound very noticeably improved during both gigs. This is very rare praise from me as I normally moan like hell about them (or am too drunk to notice).
Let us know the next date - 21st Feb would be amazing for me cos that would mean I have 6 gigs in 5 days!

Oh well, I'll have to do The Bees on 1st March and make it 4 gigs in 4 nights that week. Who else is up for the Bees? Come on, they are good, and its only a tenner including booking fee. Bargain.
