As Saturday was the anniversary of our South of the River Cider Crawl and the Avon Packet was doing Thatchers at a pound a pint (oh, and St Georges day), thought we might do it again next year without the hassle of having to take a day out of holiday allowance.

have a vote here to make St Georges Day a public holiday (whether you're unpatriotic/welsh doesn't matter - the govt might make this a public holiday if there's enough of us nagging it). Apparently only 500,000(!!) more votes needed for the govt to raise an eyebrow. Jamie Oliver managed to get decent school dinners with a few thousand chav mother's signatures (or a scribbled "X") so should be in for a chance on this one:

only 499,999 votes needed now then. I think it should be illegal for anyone to not go on a cider-crawl on St Georges Day, thats 2 in 2 years ive managed without even realising its St Georges Day until half way through. And if our last cider crawl was a year ago, its high-time we did another!
