Just noticed Ian Brown is on there. Lets hope that isn't true after his embarrassing performance a few years ago.

Sadly i think he will, ive read a few places that he's playing, and he's got a Greatest Hits coming out or something.
Sounfs like he'll be 3rd from the end on the Pyramid or something.
At least he has started playing some Stone Roses songs now, so some of the songs may have a tune to them this time.

The bloke from efestivals has just posted this on his forum:
"I've just had the headliners 'confirmed' to me by someone I 100% trust not to be bulls**tting me, and I believe that he'd know.
But it's no great surprise. As expected, it's The White Stripes, Coldplay, and Kylie."

Im pleased to be honest, id rather they have headliners that im not too bothered about, as when we had REM and Radiohead 2 days running i felt restricted in my cider-drinking. I dont care much if i miss any of those 3 but i reckon Kylie will be hilarious if we're hammered, White Stripes i really like but not convinced about them as headliners, and Coldplay will be OK if nothing good is on another stage.
Can't imagine those 3 headliners will put much extra demand on ticket sale either, so thats gotta be good.

From what ive garnished from various message boards the line-up is beginning to take shape like this:
FRIDAY: White Stripes headlining main stage. Keane maybe playing too.
SATURDAY: Coldplay headlining main stage, preceeded by Embrace, and Ian Brown before them.
New Order will play Friday or Saturday too.
SUNDAY: Kylie headlining main stage. Brian Wilson on main stage around 5pm. Faithless closing Other Stage (last ever gig?).
Also pretty definite to be playing one day are Outkast and The Killers (Eavis was at the Bristol Killers gig Tuesday apparently). Status Quo WILL NOT be there tho

Is it just me or are Glasto line-ups getting a bit repetitve??
Kylie and Brian Wilson (on at 5pm) should be fun and Coldplay should be good as this time we will know the songs they are playing.
Embrace, Keane etc...same old middle of the road crap who've all played before.

I think if you look back at the history it has always been quite repetitive, Coldplay & Faithless haven't played since 02 which is a decent gap. They can't have Faithless on the Other Stage & Kylie on the Pyramid though, that would be daft. Reckon the Undertones headlining the John Peel Stage on the Saturday could get a huge crowd against the Coldplay cider-drinker.

I think I'll be avoiding the Main Stage like the plague Saturday, what a yawn-a-thon. don't mind Coldplay but would prefer the Undertones too.
Thats an ideal spot for Brian Wilson on Sunday, hopefully the sun will be shining, then maybe catch a few Kylie tracks out of curiousity and head over to Faithless. Them headlining the Other Stage for last ever gig - its actually the same debate as Orbital Vs Muse last year!
Keane are far too dull to warm people up before White Stripes, someone in The Killers mould would be good in that slot.

I personally think Coldplay will be good. I thought they were brilliant in 02 despite not knowing all their new stuff. Faithless will be brilliant too but I think they should play the Pyramid. Their 02 set was one of the best I've seen at Glasto and I saw them again in the summer and they were brilliant again. Not sure about that last gig shout though.

Stolen from efestivals message board, this is apparently the Pyramid line-up:
Friday: - The White Stripes - The Killers - Keane
Saturday - Coldplay - Embrace - Ian Brown
Sunday - Kylie - New Order - not sure - Brian Wilson
Im very pleased with that so far, Killers & White Stripes an amazing double-bill, and if Faithless do headline Other Stage on Sunday that will be great day too.

Or the other alternative for Saturday night - The Undertones John Peel tribute on the new, big John Peel Stage/Tent - reckon there'll be more people there than at Coldplay. Well maybe not, but it should be quite good anyway.

I have always finished each evening at the Pyramid stage (if you don't count the Cider Bus), but it looks like i'll be heading to the Other Stage on the Sunday night if Kylie is heading the Pyramid.... cos we'll be seeing enough of her in the Dogging Tent.
