Anybody know anything about these two likely signings? Thank Tins, Burnell and Peacock gone, a massive step in the right direction?

It looks like we are likely to sign Bradley Orr from Newcastle, he is a 21-year old scouser (friends with Steve Gillespie) and captained Newcastle's reserve side last season scoring 8 goals. Tins says he is tough and can lead a team, which worries me slightly that he could be seen as a replacement for Doc.

McLean signing is less certain as Sheff Weds have also have bid accepted and Hull also interested. Big striker, also 21 i think, scored 25 goals on loan for Sc wordhorpe last season.

Both sound like good prospects, and its nice to know the Board are obviously up for having a real crack at promotion again this year. Were gonna have a very young team next year tho.

If we cant get MacLean, apparently we are going afer Neil Roberts of Wigan, a welshman with a strike rate of a goal every 6 games!! So we could have two Welsh Roberts up-front this season, i can imagine some of our followers would absolutely love that!

Id still really like to see Marcus Stewart sign, the strikers we have got now look like great prospects but the most mature is Roberts whose 24!, and the rest are 22 or under. Would be good to have an experienced goal-scorer like Stewart for these youngsters to learn from i think, but i cant see him coming - think it would have happened by now if it was going to...

All good stuff tho, looking forward to next season, well done Tin-Man
