So if we get there early enough they let us in the Oval? You dont need special fan club passes like for some gigs? Think its definitely worth trying to get in there.

Will do my best to get some photos, they always come out crap with disposable cameras however close you are tho, and i dont like taking my digital one in case i end up drunk and launch it somewhere that night (for those of you who think that sounds stupid - its happened before and it could easily happen again!).

No special passes for the oval, just need to get there early. I've heard rummours that the pitch (GA) tickets at Twickenham are sold out, people are trying to swap tickets already.

By all accounts, it's been ugly out there:

U2.com crashing
Ticketmaster's web site(s) crashing
presale passwords not working
presale passwords working, but fans unable to reuse the password after the system crashes
incredibly few GA tickets made available
tickets for European shows being exceptionally more expensive than on past tours
etc., etc., etc.

There is also an apology from ticketmaster.

And on Friday ticketmaster will also be dealing with England v N Ireland and Azerbaijan, as well as U2 - could be another great day in the history of online sales disasters! Speaking of which just thank god aloud.com aren't involved - they'd probably be selling tickets for the wrong stadiums!

Incidentally I was told tickets for Elton John at Ashton Gate last year were about £65, and I think Neil Diamond is even more, which puts £62 for U2 into context a bit!

The cheap tickets for Elton John were £24 or £26, think £65 would be Block C half way up the Dolman.

Yeah i think £24 tickets are just for a select few in the deepest darkest corners of the East End, most are a lot more cash. And London tickets are always a bit more cash. And Neil Diamond is wank. We will be right at the front for U2!

Anyone else getting tickets today?

Whole UK tour now sold out: http://www.nme.com/news/111223.htm

I think efests were saying earlier they expected more dates to be added, but you probably know more about it than them anyway.

Still no news on support acts for London (heard a wisper it could be The Scissor Sisters) but the following has been announced.

Snow Patrol will be playing support on the ‘Vertigo Tour’ at shows in Brussels, Manchester, Dublin, Berlin and Paris.

The Killers will be on duty for shows in Cardiff, Katowice, Vienna and Amsterdam.
