2005 Fine Guide and Map are now on the official website (www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk - go to information button).
Main interesting things: - Despite what everyone thought (and I'm sure was previously announced), the John Peel Stage is in the same place as the New Bands Tent has been, and the Dance Area is where the Dance Tent was. - The Crown is now next to the Glade, with nothing apparently in its place in the Jazz Field. - Everyone gets a Make Poverty History wristband on the way in, and some "mass community demonstration" is to take place on Saturday afternoon in conjunction with this.
Oh and aloud.com now say tickets are in stock and will be despatched shortly.
Cider's coming home...

That is strange (im sure they did announce they were swapping), but good I think.
Also confirmed to play are The Pipettes, another band central to the new Pike-core movement, who are gonna be massive!

Kylie has breast cancer and has cancelled her Australian tour. Looks like she is going to pull out of Glastonbury as well.

She is officially out of Glastonbury, its on NME website.
It could well be Queen now, it would fit in with Eavis's idea of having a Sunday headliner that was more mainstream, with lots of well-known songs, for the local residents. Im not sure it would be a great idea tho.

Faithless seem the obvious one, as they would have played if they were offered a "suitable slot", and now theres one available. But Queen wouldn't be a bad shout either. Or perhaps they'll just move everyone up the order and have one band less.
Previous 2 Sunday headliners have been Muse & Moby...mainstream? |

- I assume this hasn't applied to previous years, but a few months ago before any bands were confirmed Eavis said something about the Sunday line-up being more "for everyones tastes" as lots of local families, kids, etc would just be coming for the day and they might not appreciate the likes of White Stripes, Killers, etc. (i remember this cos it led efests to move Kylie and Brian Wilson to Sunday on the rumours page).
Clapton is mentioned quite a lot on efests message board (he wanted to play this year, but the headliners were booked so they offered him 2007 apparently). He has just played a few gigs with reformed Cream line-up so either of them may be possible. Or Queen, or to start the age-old rumour again - Rolling Stones have just started a tour...

Nuts.
They were really good last year but now I am sick of them.
For a change it would be awesome to have some thrash metal to close the show.
