I would like to win the league, and i believe we have the right manager for the job, but the team needs strengthening, the personel does not match that or Man U and Arsenal.
I also believe, he could be the man for the England job. He knows how to get out of a group, how to win knock outs, and sits like a pixy instead of on the fence! |

Phil, i think this is summed up by what mr. parry said yesterday... although when shipway was asked the question by myself he said he would rather win the champions league than the premiership...
"For us, the big prize is the Premier League, we've made no secret of that.
"Every one of us wants to be a Premier League contender. We're not quite there, but we'll do everything in our power to make sure we get there."
I agree that the champions league is all about sponsership money, TV rights and all that and dont get me wrong it is very very exciting when it is on, and even though my own team were there last season i still think it is bit misleading to how good teams are...
If the pool do win it, at least we can say we beat them 3 times out of 4 this year  |

Shipway is only saying that as he know Liverpool will not win the prem! Typical Liverpool fan, can't even be honest with themselves!

Football is all about opinions and my opinion is that the CL is the greatest domestic honour.
All great clubs are judged on how many European Cups they have won… Madrid, Milan and Liverpool topping the charts. How can anyone argue with that!
However, I obviously don’t underestimate the value of the league and yes I would love to win it for the 19th time but I would happily give that up for another CL final and maybe success!
Anyway, keep slating Liverpool and writing us off because jealousy and negative comments just drives us on to more success.
p.s. I think both Ferguson and Mourinho showed us all there true worth with their comments this week.
Ferguson before the Milan game… we are just going to play our way! (That worked!)
Mourinho after the Liverpool match… The blues played to win and we were the better side! (Not sure what game he was watching!)

I can't believe it worked! I had a dream the other day that Liverpool were owned by a couple of Americans, who know as much about 'Soccer' as I do about Brain Surgery.
I also dreamt that they'd have a playing squad full of useless Spanish and South Americans, and ex convicts, and that they'd be relying on Stevie Gerrard to win things until the day he retires!
I Also dreamt that'd Liverpool would have a boring bunch of fans, who are deluded into thinking that they are still the best side in England, only have one song and ARE STUCK IN THE PAST!!!

After all, why would I be Jealous of a club that can't beat the mighty Everton!
I can't wait for the day Tranmere are in the Premiership. We might actually have a difficult Merseyside Derby then!!!

i was going to say that, i thought major domestic honours were:
Premier League
FA Cup
League Cup
and maybe the anglo-italian cup when it existed...

p.s. Being Spurs and Everton fans i am very surprised you know what the CL is?! |

I seem to remeber when Everton qualified for the CL ahead of Liverpool, and you had go crying to UEFA to be let back, like a spoilt little Child!!
As for it being the biggest club competition, I'm sure a hell of a lot more sides enter the FA Cup than the Up to 4th Placed League! |

It is harder to win the premier league than the Champs League. Therefore it is a better competition and the better teams win this!
Why are you now talking about Spurs and Everton? This was a conversation about the CL and Liverpool, but hey typical of a Liverpool fan to try to have a go at other teams!
The sooner you all realise that you dont have a god given right to win everything the sooner people may start warming to your club again.....
