Tone,
Perfectly valid statement when looked at via the rules for qualifying for each competition. To win the league, you become the best team in the country and to the best of my knowledge, Liverpool have not done this for quite some time (it gives me no pleasure pointing this out) but Chelsea have and Man U will.
To get into the Champions league you must finish in the top 4 in the league and then if you win it you are the best team in Europe (something i hope Liverpool do in a few weeks time and all English people should support them against Milan).
I agree it sounds crazy but i don't make the rules. I actually agree with previous posts where it was said that the CL should be the top team in each league in a KO comp but a pointed out by Jam & Dog it is all about money etc.
Phil, i knew i would get a cheeky bite. How much do you know about Osman, what is his inside leg measurement and to be honest we both know most people are taller than me!!! |

I'd like to congratulate Manchester United on winning the Premiership, yet again, over the weekend.
I'd like to thank Everton for allowing us to come back from 2 down the other week. I'd like to thank Spurs for beating Chelsea earlier in the season but most of all I'd like to thank Liverpool for the 6 points that they clearly knew it would be pointless having themselves as they'd be so far behind us for them to make any difference.

| I would like to firstly thank arsenal for helping us achieve our 9th premiership title last weekend proving that we are the best team in England. Going back to the point many esteemed Liverpool fans were making, that the CL is harder to win than the league, seeing as you could win it for the 2nd time in 3 years, if the premier league is so much easier to win, how come you fail to even get near winning it every season?? Work that out. Anyway Champions!! |
