But if Liverpool hadn't got English clubs banned from Europe in the 80s when Everton had their best team they probably would have won it a couple of times.

I won't defend Arsenal, they've gone about trying to destroy English football in their own way.

Time to bring back the 3 foreigners rule I reckon, in domestic & European games.

Arsenal & Everton will never win the European cup? That has to be the worst statement I have ever heard!

Tell me ships, what will the lottery numbers be on sat? as you can clearly see in to the future!

You clearly don't need to be a great club to win the Champions League. It's possible to qualify, as Everton and Liverpool have both proved, whilst finishing in excess of 30 points behind the league winners.

Winning the European Cup is a great achievement, as is winning any cup competition, but personally I think to be a great side you need to be winning league titles, which Liverpool have not done for a long time.

Face it Liverpool fans, you support a side that is only marginally better than the rest of the premiership, but is MILES & MILES & MILES away from being as good as Man U or Chelsea.

... and arsenal.

Me, Phil and Smithy are now claiming our european trophies that we would have won when english teams were banned.

Congratulations Everton FC, european champions twice and we are now a great team as we would have won it 1989/90.

What I like most about this discussion is that it proves everyone hates Liverpool fans. The annoying, whiney, living in the past, muppets!

Say what you like about Liverpool, but they are a cosmopolitan club,

Owned by Americans, a playing staff full of Spaniards, with French fans!

Ah T-Man enters the fray!

Better to be part owned by any ENGLISH company, than completly owned by 2 americans!

I here Liverpool 'General Manager' Rafael Benetiz is in the hunt for a new 'Net Minder' in the summer. Rumours of the search for a relief pitcher and designated batter remain unproven!!

The liverpool echo is also reporting that in Liverpools new stadium they will be selling Super, Extra Large Jumbo Hotdogs (rumoured to be over 3ft long), with extra mustard, to satisfy their new American fans! As a result they will also be installing extra wide seats!!!!

With these extra large seats you should look into supporting Liverpool then Maddog... wahey!

Also, don't go preaching about the amount of foreign players Liverpool have cos you have more than enough in your squad. As well as the Nationwide rejects you own! I would like to also point out we have more England international than you!

Kings of Europe!

And more Spanish Internationals!!

By the way, that bunch of Nationwide rejects as you call them, took 4 points off Liverpool and 4 points of Arsenal this season!

How have liverpool got on against Arsenal this season?

I think you should savour the fact that Liverpool couldn't beat Everton this season, and similarly, Bristol City fans should savour the time they beat Liverpool in the FA Cup.

I can fully appreciate why the fans of smaller clubs will always remember the time they beat a European Superpower!
